my story...
im the proud owner of this 61 falcon that has been in the family since a 49 merc was traded for it in the late 60's, it has propeled just about everyone in the family until my mom burned up the wiring in 85: two years before i was even born. it became mine shortly after my grandfather passed away, who did alot of work on the car. anyways, this summer me and Haake went out to where the car was sitting and dumped some gas in, checked the fluids and fired her up! she didn't want to run very long, but she ran! me, ryan, and my brother-in-law Rory put it on a trailer. then me and rory drove it home where i proceded to try to get it to run. it got points, condenser, plugs, wires, filters, fluids, i even tried another carb trying to get it to stay running. but it would only start, sputter a while, and die.
finally my good life-long friend ryan (petey) came to the rescue saying something about exaust valves and acting like a jake brake and something clicked (which is the way most of our problems are solved). i chopped off the exaust infront of the mouse nest filled muffler and it fired up and, just like that, ran without hitting the throttle once! which goes to prove that you can't wrench without friends!

you can even see some of the trashed interior that will be nothing like factory, both in design and color, beige instead of the blue the factory gave it (thanks for the suggestion Sara!)

the tags expired in 1984, months before the car was parked and almost forgotten...

this is the original paint that i found hiding on the drip rail under some chrome! i eventually intend to repaint it in green, but a darker mettalic clear coated finish

the muffler was litterally packed full
